I was pretty set on a Rocky for it's easy of switching to drip grinds, figured it would be a huge step up from our ear drum splitting Cuisanart burr grinder. However every post I read pointed out that for espresso you will want to upgrade eventually from a Rocky to step-less. So I decided to skip the upgrade step when I found an MCI for close (+$50) to the same price as Rocky I jumped on it. Complicating matters was my wife was not into espresso that much, easy no hassle coffee is more important to her. She didn't want two grinders on the counter either. So I had to get my wife on board with the idea of an espresso grinder, I was pretty sure she just needed to experience making a proper espresso at home with an easy to use setup and that would change her mind.
