London coffee nerds.. This one is a good one.

The Karimikui coffee factory, which is affiliated with the Rungeto Farmers Cooperative Society (FCS), was established in 1966 and rests on a six acre patch of land that serves the villages of Githureia, Gituba and Kiamugumo. Most smallholder farmers in this area grow tea, not coffee, but the rich, red volcanic soil and year round temperature range of 13C to 24C make it ideal for coffee growing too. SL28 and SL34 account for 99% of total production here, with the balance made up by occasional Ruiru 11 plants. The wish of the co-op is to establish a transparent, trust-based relationship with their smallholder farmers, and to grow by bringing premium quality to buyers, and premium prices to farmers.
