@coxn Adding Baratza Vario Burr Grinder to the list. I like that I could use it for French press or espresso

This is one of those "apples vs oranges" question: I currently own the Breville SmartGrinder and the original Breville Double Boiler espresso machine (BES900XL?). Lately, it seems like the grinds I've been using do not seem to generate proper BAR pressure when pulling shots (I weigh grounds by the gram on separate electronic scale). I did install the new set of washers that are supposed to improve the grind results, i.e., finer grind), and, this seemed to work for some time. So, I'm wondering if its time to get a new grinder. I really like the Breville brand and I like the Smart Grinder as I was able to get espresso grinds and French Press grinds. So, I'm wondering if this Baratza Vario is a better choice for my next grinder versus upgrading to the newer Breville Smart Grinder Pro.
