A coffee producer in Panama set a new record for producing the world’s biggest mug of coffee. It took 4 hours for the 300 pounds of Arabica coffee to make 750 gallons of fresh brewed coffee in the mug measuring 146 centimeters. The record breaking attempt was organized by the Cafe Duranin coffee producers. The current Guinness Book of World Records entry was achieved in 1994 in New York when a mug containing 660 gallons of coffee was brewed. According to organizers, the company will submit its record-breaking attempt to officials this month.
