By Craig Holt, Founder, Atlas Coffee Importers Coffee is such a great gig. It allows many of us the opportunity to visit a broad variety of cultures in some of the world’s most beautiful places. Having been given such an opportunity, I think we as coffee travelers need to go out of our way to make the most of the experience, and be respectful of the places and people we visit. Travel has been an important part of my work for the last twenty-five years, and it has taken me to six continents and more than sixty countries. It hasn’t always been pretty. I have made a lot of mistakes along the way that compromised my safety, damaged my health, and seriously diminished the image of Americans abroad.
