Chip Shot: Intel Creates Software App to Help Children Read

In the early years of a child’s education, reading skills are one of the most important to develop as a foundation for future success. Intel and Clarity Innovations teamed up to provide an easy-to-use app that helps kids practice their reading skills. Read With Me is a Chrome application for K-3 students that assigns reading based on learning levels and digitally recognizes speech to give children real-time feedback on their reading fluencies and abilities. This learning application guides a child from their current reading level and gives them evaluation, badges that provide encouragement and access to teachers who help link this data to classroom support.
