New and Noteworthy: The Quest for Decaffeinated Coffee | The ...: Literature Review by Emma Bladyka, Coffee Scie...

Literature Review by Emma Bladyka, Coffee Science Manager, SCAA A news article in the journal Nature recently featured state of scientific research on the topic of decaffeinated coffee. The article, titled Make it a decaf: The enduring quest for a coffee bean without the buzz , was written by freelance journalist Brendan Borrell. It is currently open access, which means that everyone can (and should) go download their very own copy to read and discuss. Access it here ! In theory, you can get decaffeinated coffee in three ways, through post-processing removal, through breeding and mutagenic means, or through genetic engineering.
