Breville BCG800XL Smart Grinder, Jeremy Markowitz

I have owned a Solis, Braun, Baratza, but I wanted something another step up that fits on the counter. It was either this or the Rancillo Rocky, I took a chance on this. When it is clean, it works great, but it gets gummed up fairly quickly with a fresh roast. My wife does drip grind, which helps clean it out daily, but I can still only really make one espresso before it needs to be sorted out. It is an easy grinder to use. The cradle is a nice feature and you can adjust the size and duration easily. I like the interface although I don't think it's as ultra-sleek looking as some other grinders. Four years in, something plastic that adjusts the grind size is starting to click away and not really do it's job. This is somehow connected to it getting gummed up all the time.
