Coffee geek → Cuisinart 600 Series Grind & Brew, Eric Rosenberg: Bottom Line: Time consuming to clean,... #coffee

I've had this machine for almost 8 years, and have used it daily. When we first got it I assumed that it wouldn't last more than a few years given all the moving parts, but it is still holding up after about 3000 uses. I've only had to replace a carafe that I broke, and the bottom portion of the grinder that wore out over time. The best part is that the coffee is fresh and hot. And I emphasize the latter. I've found that most automatic drip machies produce coffee which is too cool. Sure, its an uneven grind, but its good enough for a generic morning cup of coffee. The worst part is that it is time consuming to clean. For a tip, the sooner you take out the grinder portion after the coffee has been made, the easier it is to clean. You can basically just rinse it in the sink.
