I'm on the prowl for my next espresso machine. After having owned the Silvia for years, I never developed a mac-like affinity for the product. I tend to think of coffee and want it, not with a delayed reaction for the heating mechanism. Out of the box shots poured weren't ideal. I also felt like I wanted more real-time visibility into boiler temperature. Like other Rancilio products, such as the Rocky, the build and overall quality of the machine is impeccable. I just didn't quite end up jibing with it.
