I bought this from Chris Coffee as a "Buyer's Remorse" offer. Thus, instead of paying the retail price of around $450-470, I paid around $400. This, along with a 2 year used La Spaziale Mini Vivaldi II, was my first foray into home espresso. I'd researched thoroughly (really thorougly) for a couple of months before making my purchases, and talked to and met with Coffee Geek moderator calblacksmith before making my decisions. The first month of initial use saw me learning to use both grinder and espresso machine to pull a decent shot. From the beginning, I've used only fresh beans (settled on Klatch Coffee's Belle as my bean of choice), and measured each shot. At minimum, I individually weigh out the beans for each shot (rather than fill the hopper) and grind it fresh. At regular intervals, I reprogram the timing on the Mini Vivaldi, and both time and weigh the extraction. ...
